Week 3: My mom was still here (YAY!). We didn't take a ton of pictures this week. Highlights include getting a real bath (his umbilical cord finally fell out!) and playing the piano with dad. This week we also went to the doctor for his 2-week check-up. This kid gained 12 oz. in 7 days--almost double the normal amount of weight gain for his age!
Little-known fact: Preston was tongue-tied at birth. This caused us big problems with nursing. He wasn't getting enough food, and I was in serious pain. SERIOUS PAIN. So he had his 2-week check-up and then later that day we went to another appointment to get his tongue clipped. They weighed him again and he'd gained a whole ounce since that morning. Crazy kid.
My mom held his arms down while I looked away. He was more mad about his arms being held down than getting his tongue clipped. I nursed him right away to help stop the bleeding and he was a whole new kid! And I swear it changed his face. He couldn't even stick his tongue out before and now he can! YAY!

He is such a big, precious boy! And you look great! Also, it makes me super happy that you have a statue of Bob in your kitchen. :)
Sydney is tongue tied too, although not so bad that she couldnt nurse so they didnt clip it. She looks so silly trying to stick her tongue out... So was ben, must be a reynolds thing
